Wentworth Road Race - In Photos.

As a marshall I was stationed at the end of a single lane bridge to stop traffic when the racers were approaching from a steep downhill. Last thing we wanted was a vehicle and peleton all sharing the same bridge space. As a result my pics are similar as my ability to move about was mitigated by safety concerns.

I remember working the wheel car one time, it was the original CycleSmith maroon mini van they had back in the day...I almost ran over one of the woman cyclist, well that’s a bit of a exaggeration but I came close to nudging her. Don't look at scenery while driving the wheel car!
Also, when I parked the thing on the side of the road at the finish line, I got out and walked towards a couple guys on the other side of the road, when out of the corner of my eye I see a maroon van rolling backwards....towards a group of cyclist...I have to run after it, get the door open, jump in and slam on the emergency brake.
Found out a couple hours later that if you put it in Park its actually in Neutral....
Good times!
