Weekend Update - Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Saturday morning found me at my usual winter haunt,Nubody`s Clayton Park, aiming at the one hour spin class. Unfortunately we had one too many riders sign up for the class so I gave up my bike to another rider. I guess old Grinchy Geo does have some holiday spirit....(wink).

In lieu of spinning I managed a three mile run on the treadmill and a good solid weight training session. In hinesite it was a good training day at the gym.

Saturday night I saw the Aussie Pink Floyd show at the Metro Centre and it was INCREDIBLE! If you have the opportunity to catch their performance do so. Most excellent!

Sunday morning found me(like a fool)perched behind some green bins in the frigid temperatures with camera in hand trying to catch some more pics of the birds visiting the feeders. They must have sensed the coming storm cause they were a ravenous lot. Once I get some decent shots then I can attempt to identify the species by comparing colors and markings.

Sunday afternoon saw the last ball hockey session before the two week Christmas hiatus. I played well again this weekend but dropped the first two games;10-8 and 10-9. Both matches were lots of fun and could have gone either way. We ended up winning the last game with a 6-4 lead when time expired. It has taken a couple months but my form is coming along well and I`m feeling much more confident in nets. Physically the body is responding well, endurance is fine and my flexibility has never been better. At the Christmas break my record stands at 10-13-1.Goals for 177,goals against 180.

Hey CS....hang in there Champ!Thoughts are with you!

Thanks, George. I am trying to look for the positive, doing some deep breathing, and a chant in my head, if it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger, make you stronger, make you stronger...! I must say I have surprised myself because I am doing much better than I thought. Might as well smile as cry.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2009!
