Cycling the Alps
The presentation last night at the LBS about Mr. Atwood`s recent cycling trip to Europe was excellent. An insider`s view of how to do a cycling vacation to the Alps. The pics were spectacular. Kinda neat to see the guys and the familiar kit of Sealevel Cycling, whom I compete against in the BNS road race schedule,on the roads visited by the Tour.(picture compliments of Sealevel Cycling Club)
Ball hockey went well on Sunday. Our side was without a spare for the first 30 minutes but still managed to win the first match 10 - 7. We then fell behind 5 - 1 in the second game and also lost our best player who had to leave early. That said the lads pulled together,in spite of having no spare, and scored a couple timely goals. It was gut check time for me as I decided I would "shut the door" and give the guys the chance to get back in the game. We ended up winning 8 - 6 as time ran out and it was a very satisfying victory. I gave up only a single goal after Shaun left.Overall I was solid in nets but rock steady in the last 30 minutes. Felt great!
I also managed to get to the gym first thing Sunday morning and attended the 45 minute spin class. Took awhile to get the legs going but it felt good afterwards and helped move out some of the stiffness from the previous day`s activities.
