Nova Nebula - Work in Progress.

Thanks to the generosity of Eric W I have a new addition of my bike stable. I picked up my future time trial bike on Saturday and have begun the transformation to ITT specific road rocket.

After a good cleaning I have added the time trial bullhorn, stem, aerobars and aero brakes. I also mounted spare tires on my spare wheelset for testing purposes. It was originally set up with Shimano 8 speed but I will switch it all over to Shimano 9 speed. I already have the Dura Ace 9 speed bar end shifters, my wheelsets all have 9 speed rear cassettes and I have a brand new Ultegra 9 speed crankset. To complete the transformation I will need to purchase a 9 speed rear derailleur, chain and MTB brake cables to fit the aero brake levers.

Needless to say I`m quite pleased to have a time trial specific bike available. I also spied a set of Maxxis road tires online that have a orange stripe which will compliment the frame paint quite nicely. If I could only find a nice affordable set of aero wheels I`d be golden!

Oh Geo,
I was bidding on a 2004 Lemonde Alpe D'Huez road bike, full Ultegra.I went to see the bike, had a look over it, took it for a short ride, feel in love. Came with in 10 secnds of getting winning it then got out bid with seconds to spare. Now I have my eye on 2 bikes.

Wow, just read over my comment and realized my grammar was horrendous. Sorry about that.

"Aero brakes" - Yup. You use them on the bullhorn type of bar in an aero setup. I have Cane Creek ones and found out when I tried to run the cables that they use MTB style cables...not road. Go figure huh?

Steve - That`s too bad...the Lemond is a sweet bike.Good luck and good hunting.
