Nebula Time Trial Bike - Complete.

My winter project bike is now complete with the purchase of a FSA triathlon specific saddle and Vittoria Rubino Pro white striped tires.I spent the afternoon zooming in my "fit". I am still in need of a longer ride to determine the final comfort factor but it is,essentially, race ready.

I am keeping an eye out for some Look Keo pedals but it`s low priority as I can swap out the ones on my road bike.

Now I just need a time trial.....(wink).

Chi, Ionized Water, Good Health and Q-Ray

Recently I have been doing some research into the Chinese practice of achieving "Chi", the balancing of the body`s "life force" in terms of well being.The premise being that to have good health one must balance positive/negative energies (ions)to achieve harmony. From what I have ascertained thus far the act of living creates positive ions in the body that need to be countered by negative ions. They attract each other and become as one. Nature, it seems, supplies negative ions through good food, clean air and pure water. The problem is that we now live in an increasingly polluted enviroment where pure food, water and air is at a premium.It is harder for the body to get the negative ions it needs to balance the positive ones that are the byproducts of living.It all reminds me of the whole free radical/antioxidant debate. How They Are Made - Vegetable Oils.

 It's January and I was bored so just for the heck of it I decided to investigate how vegetable oils are processed  in comparison to coconut oil and good old fashioned butter. Since one of the raging debates in the nutritional world involves advocating (supposedly) healthy vegetable oil  to replace the(supposedly) unhealthy virgin coconut oil and dairy butter it seems like a good place to start.I won't address the nutritional issues(PUFA's versus SFA) but just how they are made.  Right from the start I was concerned.
